Most abundant element in the universe.

Most abundant element in the universe.

No word is more simple than the universe. It simply means all, no comparison, no differentiation, no addition, no subtraction. But also the universe is the most sophisticated if we try to understand the meaning of the word. It consists of an infinite number of bodies in it, in the form of Planets, Asteroids, Comets, Stars, Galaxies, Nebulas, Blackholes etc.

The universe is made up of many elements, but the elements in the most abundant quantities are mentioned here (The data is on the basis of the research till date).

The Universe

Most abundant elements are:

1.Hydrogen.

2.Helium.

3.Oxygen.

4.Carbon.

5.Neon.

6.Nitrogen.

7.Magnesium.

8.Silicon.

9.Iron.

10.Sulfur.

Most of the most abundant elements are in the form of gases. Hydrogen is about 75% of all the elements in the universe. Helium is about 23-24% and the rest is the other elements.

Most of the stars are made of Hydrogen and Helium only. Nebulas are made of dust and gases (mostly hydrogen and helium).

When we talk about our solar system the inner four planets( Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars) are the rocky planets. Most common elements of the rocky planets are silicate minerals, Iron, nickel, aluminium and magnesium. The outer four planets (Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune) are gaseous planets composed of hydrogen and helium mostly.
