How a star is born?

How a star is born?

Since the time human has started to think, they started to strive to understand nature. Our universe has always been a big part of human curiosity.

Even in ancient times, man had started to assume about all the other bodies present in the universe. They must be thinking about the stars in the sky.

Because of the same curiosity, humans have been able to invent so much. But the one question has always occupied the largest portion of our curiosity. how exactly star is born? and how do they die?

What is Nebulae?

The place where a star is born is called Nebula. A nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space.

Some nebulae come from the gas and dust thrown out by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova.

Other nebulae are formed, when gas on large scale spread in the space, it starts to accumulate due to mutual gravitational attraction.

In those regions, a star is born. For this reason, some nebulae are called "star nurseries".

In simple language, Nebulae is not only the source of creation of star but also the remnants of the end of it.

Interstellar Space

Far away from our solar system, among the stars, the part of the space where only dark persists.

In a larger perspective, this is the space between two Galaxies, This space is called Interstellar space. Earlier we used to think that the interstellar space is a vacuum but actually this space is full of gases, dust, and radiations.

The Interstellar space is 99% gas of which 75% is Hydrogen and the remaining 25% is Helium.

How a star is born?

Nebula word has been taken from the Latin whose meaning is Cloud or Fog. A nebula is that place in our solar system, where Stars are born.

When at a certain point, due to gravitational attraction gases starts to accumulate, and after sometime pressure increases at that point.

Due to the extreme pressure, nuclear fusion starts to happen and a new star born. The process is very slow.

Nebulas are very big in size because of this many nebulas can be seen from the earth from naked eyes despite being at a distance of many light-years.

Orian Nebula is the largest Nebula that can be seen from the earth.

Nebulae has been categorized into four types.

1.Diffuse Nebulae( Emission and Reflection Nebulae).

2. Dark Nebulae.

3. Planetary Nebulae.

4. Supernova Remnant Nebulae.

Some well-known Nebulae

1.Omega Nebulae - Emission Nebulae

2. Horse-head Nebulae - Dark Nebulae

3. Pillars of Creation( Eagle Nebulae)

4.Cat Eye Nebulae - Planetary Nebulae.

5. Tycho's Supernova Nebulae.
